Hey there, I’m Sara -
As a queer, AuDHD therapist, I know that it's possible to live a life that feels more authentic and grounded. I specialize in working with highly sensitive, neurodivergent, queer and questioning adults (18+) struggling with feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, difficult family relationships, identity exploration, and the impacts of trauma. Ultimately, I'm not here to "treat" your neurodivergence but I will support you in navigating the challenges that come with it!
My approach integrates lived experience, education, and extensive training in Internal Family Systems, Somatic Ecotherapy and Psychodynamic therapy. I offer a warm and compassionate space that allows you to work towards breaking patterns of stuckness, healing past trauma, forming a deeper connection to yourself, your body, and the natural world around us.
In addition to the modalities of therapy that I integrate in session, my work is grounded in social justice and intersectionality. I practice with a strong awareness of the inextricable link between systems of oppression and mental health and aim to approach all of my clients from a place of cultural humility.
I know that searching for a new therapist can be daunting - I've been there! My style is warm, playful, curious, creative, and genuine. If you resonate with anything about my practice, I’d love to hear from you about starting this journey together. If we're not the right fit, I'm happy to refer to you to someone who I think can help.
